Voter Fraud

November 6--Election Day (updated 11/7)

The facts so far.

About two hundred of these signs were picked up overnight. The first sightings were about 1:30, and two individuals were caught by the police. We had received information that 500 of these were going to be distributed throughout Ramapo by goons supporting the St. Lawrence administration.

We have blocked out the Row letter on these photos so as to not cause confusion since today is election day. Preserve Ramapo is on Row G and these signs direct voters to the St. Lawrence, Hunter, Friedman, Yegar line. It's another attempt to steal this election.

WRCR Radio Rockland 1300 has covered the story, but we have been told that News 12 has refused to cover the story today. (updated: News 12 did run a story on the evening news). Preserve Ramapo asked for the police report, but were told that we cannot have the report until tomorrow. We have people who have identified one of those who was detained, and we would like to verify that information so we can trace this criminal activity back to the source that paid for it. 500 of these signs are very expensive, so this was not an inconsequential effort--serious funding was needed to do this.

When I discussed this with a backer of the opposition, he laughed and said, This is a joke, this isn't serious. The right to correct information about an election is no more consequential than a prank. This "any means to the end" attitude has characterized this election campaign, which has proved, as we predicted, to be the filthiest campaign we have been involved in. And if the right to free, democratic elections is a joke to many, it's sad for all of Ramapo.

We will update this story when we get the report from the Ramapo Police.
