If you like the stadium, put it in your town

Letter in The Journal News

Re "Great first season for Boulders baseball," a Monday letter, and "Sad to see end to Boulders season," a Saturday letter:

How ironic that these two letters praising Ramapo Town Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence for building a baseball stadium over the objections of the majority of his own constituents were from writers living outside of Ramapo, who therefore won't have their taxes go up and their housing values go down as a result of this "positive experience for all of Rockland County," as stated in Monday's letter. Stony Point and Valley Cottage, where the writers live, are both beautiful places with a lot of woods and natural park areas. I wonder how their residents, including the writers of these letters, would feel if their local officials decided to build a baseball stadium, with the attendant traffic, noise, fireworks, and destruction of public park land, in their communities?
